Paula Abdul was reduced to tears last week when her group inTENsity was eliminated from The X Factor. It was nothing new this week when her two remaining groups The Stereo Hogzz and Lakoda Rayne were in jeopardy of being sent home on Thursday night’s results episode.
After a mature looking Willow Smith sang her new song “Fireball,” a blue-wigged Katy Perry, I mean, Jesse J. performed “Domino.” Her look is a little familiar, wouldn’t you say?

After the top nine soloists were sent to safety, The Stereo Hogzz and Lakoda Rayne were announced as the two acts with the least amount of votes. I thought after Wednesday night’s performances that Lakoda Rayne, possibly Stacy Francis and definitely The Stereo Hogzz were in trouble.
Lakoda Rayne decided to sing “No Air” by Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown to fight for survival, while The Stereo Hogzz went with Michael Jackson’s “You Are Not Alone.” After pitching an emotional fit, Paula eventually thought that Lakoda Rayne should be eliminated. However, the other three judges Nicole Scherzinger, Simon Cowell and Antonio L.A. Reid outvoted her and sent home The Stereo Hogzz, who were unquestionably the weakest act this week. Lakoda Rayne must be pretty discouraged since their own mentor didn't back them.

Simon didn’t think America had enough time to get to know the groups. It’s not the amount of time, but the category that is setting them back. It's harder to connect with the groups since they have multiple members, and it's much easier to assess an individual than dissect a whole group dynamic.
Groups like The Spice Girls were successful because each girl played a character. Lakoda Rayne still has a chance since they are actually talented, but they will need to do more to showcase their individuality. Maybe they should consider taking nicknames.
Since Paula had two meltdowns on the first two results shows, odds are that she will have another next week. Tune in Wednesday night to see...
